Grandmother Curry's Pickled Okra Recipe

Pickled Okra

2 lbs small okra

5 pods hot pepper

5 garlic cloves

4 cups white vinegar

1/2 cup water

6 tbsp salt

1 tbsp celery or mustard seeds (or combine)


Pack in sterilized jars with 1 garlic and 1 pepper.

Pack okra.

Boil other liquid.

Pour over okra in small mason jars. 

Seal with a new top and ring.

Waterbath (10?) min.

Wait 8 weeks to open.
