Porcupine Meat Balls

 1 lb ground beef

1/3 cup uncooked rice

1/4 cup water

1 tsp salt

dash pepper

1 can condensed tomato soup

1/2 tsp chili powder 

1/2 cup water


Combine meat, rice, onion, 1/4 cup water, salt and pepper. Shape into 15 one inch balls. Blend soup and chili powder; still in 1/2 cup water. Bring to boiling. Add meat bals, cover and simmer gently for 1 hours. Stir a few times. Makes 5 servings. (Evelyn--I used to make this often when Jane Ellen and Fred were growing up.)
