1 (1 lb) can sliced beets
2 tbs sugar
1tbs cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tbs butter or margarine
Drain beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid. In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in reserved beet liquid and vinegar and butter. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add beets; heat through. Serves 5
