2 packages strawberry jello
1 cup boiling water
2 (10oz) pkg frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
3 cups sliced or mashed bananas
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1 pint commercial sour cream
1 lb can crushed pineapple drained
If strawberries are juicy, use one envelope of plain gelatin (in addition?). Dish 8x12". In large pan, combine yellow with boiling water, stirring until jello is dissolved. Then fold in all at once strawberries with juice, drained pineapple, bananas and nuts. Turn half of the berry mixture in dish. Let this set up in refrigerator, then spread sour cream over this. Then, gently spoon rest of strawberry mixture over cream and refrigerate until the next day. DELICIOUS AND IS A PRETTY VALENTINE OR CHRISTMAS SALAD!
